Bula Flights was created with one simple goal — to give every Fijian the power to search, compare, and book flights anytime, anywhere, with ease and confidence.
The idea sparked during a casual moment back in 2023 at Lodhias Travel Services, when our Director, a seasoned traveller, observed a customer struggling to choose between different airlines, baggage options, and timings. After reviewing multiple options, the customer left saying she needed to discuss it with her husband.
This moment led to a lightbulb idea:
"What if there was a way for people to search, compare, and book flights in the comfort of their own home — without needing to visit a travel agent or the city?"
And just like that, the seed was planted. The project was codenamed “Fiji Way” and assigned to our Group Head of IT and Manager Operations for scoping and development.
Development officially began on Christmas Day 2024. Over the next few months, our team designed and refined the platform, and after completing the first phase, we chose the name that truly reflected Fiji’s spirit of travel — Bula Flights was born.
